General Summary:
The role supports two critical functions: Finance and Membership. Maintaining accurate data using the Customer Service Management (CRM) platform ensures accuracy for work in both areas. Superior customer service for both members and internal customers is essential.
This position is based in downtown Toledo, OH and cannot be performed remotely.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting Specialist:
Perform transactional accounting including Invoicing, accounts payable, payroll support and grants submission preparation.
- Process Invoicing and Accounts Payable activity and maintain master records. Post CRM and Ramp transactions to Sage Intacct General Ledger. Reconcile the General Ledger to the subsidiary ledgers.
- Assist Controller with ADP Payroll, employee records and/or payroll cost allocations, maintaining strict confidentiality of payroll and salary information.
- Prepare required supporting documentation for grant payment applications and organization audits.
- Prepare the operating bank account daily reconciliation.
- Assist with monthly closing journal entries, as needed.
- Assist with the independent financial audit by providing appropriate information as required.
Membership Assistant
Consistent with the TRCC brand, foster and strengthen the relationship with members/prospective members to increase member retention, recruitment, and satisfaction. Maintain the CRM/database to manage member and prospective member data and relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to new and existing members regarding membership benefits, services, and opportunities.
- Maintain Chamber membership CRM to keep all company and individual records accurate, including processing new members and member cancellations as well as keeping enrollment in benefit programs up to date.
- Maximize the CRM/database, its capabilities, automated processes by streamlining processes, increasing efficiency, and maintaining the highest level of knowledge.
- Support the implementation of the TRCC retention strategy that maximizes the ability to retain members and document all retention efforts and activities in the CRM.
- Run membership reports, custom reports, queries, lists, and analysis as requested by senior management.
- Plan, coordinate, and activate membership events designed to increase retention as delegated, including collecting and analyzing Key Performance Metrics for each event assigned.
- Assist Chamber staff with membership inquiries, research of new members and referrals.
- Collaborate on the development of membership marketing materials.
- Provide assistance to other departments as directed, including support for events activated by other departments.
Job Specifications:
- Associate degree in accounting or 3 to 4 years in business related field.
- Experience with CRM, Sage Intacct accounting software, Ramp or ADP Payroll helpful but not required.
- Well organized and accurate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Database Management, and tech savvy
- Ability to work well with other people
