SUMMARY The Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) seeks an innovative and data-informed Marketing Content Strategist to lead the strategic planning, development and optimization of engaging content across the Museum’s owned and earned digital channels. This position plays a critical role in shaping how the Museum connects with its audiences through storytelling, campaign integration, and digital engagement. The Marketing Content Strategist sets and drives the comprehensive audience-focused content strategy for owned and earned media platforms, including social media, web, email, and digital signage. With a keen understanding of audience behavior, platform trends, and institutional goals, this position crafts and guides a cohesive digital presence that builds awareness, drives engagement, and advances the Museum’s mission. This position supervises the Marketing & Communications Designer and a temporary Marketing Automation Specialist, ensuring that all digital and visual content supports brand identity, accessibility standards, and content performance objectives. The Strategist also collaborates extensively with departments and across the Museum to ensure strategic alignment and consistency in messaging and design. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Standard open office work environment shared with co-workers, with related phone, computer and printer noise. Position requires the ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer and phone system; May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; Support given to various departments across campus may result in occasional exposure to uncomfortable weather conditions.
