SUMMARY The Outreach Assistant, as part of the Education department, assists the Teaching Artist in working with youth and intergenerational groups in off-site outreach experiences and on-site art making, with a focus on the community within the 2-mile radius of TMA. The Outreach Assistant helps with set up and tear down duties for art experiences provided by the Teaching Artist, including taking attendance, prepping materials, assisting the students, and classroom cleanup. WORK ENVIRONMENT Standard classroom environment requiring regular use of art and educational production equipment. Sound level will vary from quiet to noisy, depending on activity level. Requires mobility and lifting ability sufficient to greet and welcome visitors, assist with hands-on activities, move about classroom spaces and store/replenish art equipment and supplies. May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions when moving among buildings and during outdoor events. BENEFITS
