Job Description:

Lab Research Assistant to participate in exciting transnational research. Applicant should have experience in routine laboratory techniques such as cell culture, western blotting, PCR, and experience maintaining an animal colony.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Kinesiololgy, Neuroscience, Genetics or related discipline, required. Masters degree preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, required
Ability to work with minimal supervision in an organized fashion, required.
Capacity to work collaboratively with investigators in a multidisciplinary academic setting, required.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, required. Experience using advanced Excel functions such as tables, graphs, statistical formulas, and Basic editor is preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in rodent husbandry or veterinary care is preferred.
Laboratory research or technician experience is desirable.
Knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in animal care and laboratory activities, preferred.
