Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Chair of their assigned department(s), the Administrator will manage fiscal operations, compliance, and employee/faculty employment needs for their assigned area(s). Taking direction from and in collaboration with their chair, establishes department business and administrative mission and goals, and optimal environment that supports the department and College of Medicine’s academic and research program/activities and services. This role may work directly with faculty, staff, chairs, research professionals, and clinic administrators. This role is vital for overall operations for their assigned departments which can include clinic budget operations and research operations as well as the implementation of the department(s) strategic plan and assist with the development of business plans for new programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management or Accounting required.
Master’s degree in business administration, Management or Accounting preferred.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in related administrative management position(s) .
Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge of institutional/departmental policies and procedures.
•Knowledge of management practices.
•Excellent organizational, communication and resource skills.
•Ability to reorganize, interpret and advise regarding disparate financial data.
•Ability to train, direct and oversee the work of others.
•Ability to work in professional, ethical, courteous manner.
•Ability to operate personal computer and all Microsoft Office programs as well as other departmental software.
•Ability to manage a dynamic growth-oriented environment.
