Job Description:
The 340B Specialist oversees the day-to-day operations of the 340B Drug Pricing Program for UTMC. Ensures compliance with rules of participation through strong compliance and monitoring activities, and program policies. This employee works in a professional office setting requiring a high degree of professionalism and precision. It can be stressful at times. The employee in this position is expected to deal with a variety of tasks including customer service, phone calls, virtual and in person meetings, and compiling and presenting reports. Occasional travel is possible, including overnight travel. PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS REQUIRED.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
2. Pharmacy technician certification required
3. State board of pharmacy licensure as a certified technician
4. Previous 340B / pharmacy experience preferred
5. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a compliance related role
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Must be self-directed, motivated and capable of leading supportive personnel
2. Must be able to work well with the public and other health professionals
3. Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
5. Detail oriented and proven successful analytical skills
6. Utilizes effective communication to provide excellent customer services
7. Demonstrates effective and culturally appropriate communications
