General Summary:
The Concierge is responsible for providing excellent customer service to the Maumee Cancer Center patients, guests, visitors, and employees of the Cancer Center in a prompt, professional and friendly manner. The Concierge provides customers with general information about the Cancer Center, its services, and the surrounding area. The Concierge will also help patients in/out and to/from their cars. Assists patients with accessing the Patient Portal and other duties as assigned.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participates in their resolution.
- Maintains the confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to patient, physicians, employees, and visitors to The Toledo Clinic and other services within the center. Discusses patient and center information only among appropriate personnel in appropriately private places.
- Maintains knowledge to perform the duties of the job. Assumes responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, to assure personal safety and that of coworkers, and to report all preventable hazards and unsafe practices immediately to management.
- Demonstrates self-directed learning.
- Behaves in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of The Toledo Clinic and the Karmanos Center Institute.
- Identifies and assists in resolution of problems related to safety, sanitation, and maintenance of the environment.
- Practices effective communication in all interactions (patient, visitor, co-worker, etc.)
- Promotes a positive work environment by demonstrating teamwork.
- Identifies and employs principles of ergonomics/body mechanics in the workplace. Would recommend this person have training and has transfer belt, slide board, etc….needed to assist pts. out of vehicles.

- Proficient in Microsoft office and proficient using the computer and other required technologies.

- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Adheres to clinic’s policies and procedures.
Education:
High school diploma or GED
