oledo Clinic is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) or licensed LPN to work in a busy Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Department located in Sylvania OH with several satellite offices. The hours are Tues/Wed (8-5) and Thurs (8-1). This role involves a rotation of front office and clinical duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

This position will require some travel to other offices located in Wauseon, Napoleon, Maumee and Toledo. NO WEEKENDS and NO HOLIDAYS.

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants/Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary:

Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties.
Works under the supervision of the Physician. Manage patient scheduling, handle incoming calls, and perform check-in/check out procedures.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
2. Various clerical duties. Patient check in and check out. Answer incoming calls. Manage patient scheduling.
3. Escorting patients to exam room.
4. Preparing exam rooms.
5. Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
6. Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
7. At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
8. Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
9. Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
10. Administering injections.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required:
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA) or Licensed LPN in OH

Education:

-Medical Assisting Degree/Diploma or LPN Degree/Diploma.
Preferred:
- Previous clinical and administrative experience in a medical office is preferred.
