General Summary:
Completes internal facility work as directed.
Ensures a clean and safe environment for patients, staff members and visitors.
Works under the supervision of the Facility Manager
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Example of Essential Duties:
- Perform general building, property maintenance and repair tasks.
- Perform painting and drywall work as needed.
- Minor repair and assembly of office equipment and furniture.
- Move office furniture and equipment.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Complete assigned work orders within 24-48 hours.
- By way of walk-throughs, and general observations, identify issues, address the issue or create a work order so that it can be completed in a timely manner.
Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):
- Provide mailroom coverage as needed.
- Assist Facility Manager with maintaining life safety systems (fire suppression, fire alarm, generator monitoring).
- While onsite, respond to calls for security and medical assistance.
- Maintain off site clinic locations as needed.
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
- Provide assistance to other administrative departments as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required:
- Has working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems including pumps and motors.
- Basic tool and maintenance knowledge.
- Can perform light electrical, carpentry and plumbing maintenance and repair.
- Has computer and software knowledge including email and CMMS.
- Understand building security and fire alarm system.
- Understand Building Management System / Building Automation System.
- Consistently arrives at work, in uniform, and on time.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed.
- Assists co-workers as needed.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
- Demonstrates a willingness and adaptability to expanded roles.
- Adheres to clinic’s policies and procedures
- Attends all-employee and department meetings and in-service training as scheduled or as directed.
- Ability to respond to off hour requests and emergencies.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed for coverage.
- Ability to carry on-call after hours emergency phone on rotating basis.
- Good communication skills, with ability to follow directions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and be able to operate company vehicle.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of applicable maintenance experience.
Preferred:
- Project coordinator / manager experience.
- Experience working in a medical office environment.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety EPA, and OSHA regulations
