The Toledo Clinic's Cardiology Department is seeking a part-time Cardiac Monitoring Tech to work 3 days per week (Tues/Wed/Fri) from 9:00a - 4:00p.
Qualified candidates will have experience working in a Cardiology setting with knowledge of Cardio terminology and Cardio devices and monitoring. Previous Cardiology experience is required.
General Summary:
Performs all monitoring of all patients across all device manufactures within their assigned accounts, including alert notification and alert/scheduled report generation. Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Example of Essential Duties:
- Ensures prompt patient notification of all actionable/urgent alert items, as well as timely reporting on all transmissions (both alert and scheduled).
- Providing high quality reports that align with patients’ specifications.
- Maintains patient’s database system through updating new patient encounters on a daily basis.
- Reconciling the device manufacturer websites (dismissing transmissions) after they have been completed.
- Performs office duties/other paperwork to ensure efficient operation of the department.
- Prepares charts and charge tickets for billing. Reviews final reports before sending to referring physician and filing into Clinic chart.
Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):
- Answering telephones to assist with patient questions/concerns regarding their devices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Required:
- Maintains CPR certification
- Previous experience in Cardiology office/setting. Knowledge of Cardiology terminology.
- Previous experience working with pacemakers, ICDs, and cardio related devices.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Adheres to all Toledo Clinic Policies and Procedures.
Education:
-Associates degree in cardiovascular technology, specializing in cardiac devices (ICD’s, Pacemakers, Loop Recorders) preferred.
