Toledo Clinic's Cardiology Office is seeking a full-time CV Technologist. This position will work M-F, 8-5 with no weekends or holidays.

General Summary:

Performs all non-invasive diagnostic vascular tests and cardiac tests.

Works under the supervision of the CV Lab Supervisor.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Example of Essential Duties:

  1. Performs quality carotid duplex, venous duplex and arterial Doppler studies utilizing proper techniques and terminology according to department policy/procedure. Recognizes abnormalities and confers with ordering physician. Writes technical preliminary reports.
  2. Performs office duties/other paperwork to ensure efficient operation of the department.
  3. Prepares charts and charge tickets for billing. Reviews final reports before sending to referring physician and filing into Clinic chart.
  4. Informs Director of equipment malfunctions. Places order for supplies as needed. Maintains proper care of equipment between preventative maintenance checks. Keeps exam rooms stocked with supplies and clean laundry.

Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):

  1. Assist with all endovenous treatments under the supervision of a physician.
  2. Assist in the reaccreditation process with IAC for the Vascular lab
  3. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Required:

- Maintains CPR certification

- Registry in Vascular technology through ARDMS or equivalent registry board required.

- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.

- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.

- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Education:

- Associates degree in cardiovascular technology, specializing in vascular ultrasound

Preferred:

- Technical/practical experience in cardiovascular testing specializing in vascular procedures preferred.

- Experience preferred in endovenous treatment under the supervision of a physician.
