What are the core responsibilities for the role?

  • Assist in preparing financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning
  • Assist in monthly project financial reviews
  • Assist in contract/fee estimate financial reviews
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to Business Line Leadership and Executive Leadership Team for decision-making
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process by collaborating with corporate department heads to help establish and track progress on individual budgets.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial targets are met on individual projects
  • Consult project managers across the business on best practices for pricing/contracts
  • Collaborate with project accountants on project budgets and project review findings
  • Special projects, as needed.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business from an accredited university
  • 0-2 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (Experience in the Civil Engineering Industry, a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Deltek and PowerBI, a plus
  • Experience with GAAP accounting, ASC 606, a plus
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Self-Motivated
