Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Senior Business Analyst to bridge the gap between Finance and Project Management in a fast-paced AEC environment. This is a highly visible role where you won’t just report on performance - you’ll shape it. You’ll work closely with the CFO, operating leaders, and project managers to drive better financial outcomes through insightful analysis, clear storytelling, and actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ASC 606 revenue recognition analysis (POC, forecasting, contract insights)
  • Own monthly project financial reviews with PMs and leadership (budget vs. actuals, margins, forecasts)
  • Act as a financial partner to Project Managers to improve project health and profitability
  • Analyze WIP, unbilled, and overbilled positions to improve cash flow and billing performance
  • Partner with CFO and operations leaders on variance analysis, scenario planning, and performance insights
  • Build dashboards and KPI reporting for decision-making
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
  • Serve as Deltek Vantagepoint SME to improve reporting and data quality
  • Drive process improvements and standardization across project financial management

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 5–8+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, or business analytics
  • Experience in AEC, engineering, or project-based environments
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and project financials (WIP, revenue, margins, backlog)
  • Proven ability to work with Project Managers and influence outcomes
  • Strong financial analysis and business acumen
  • Experience building Power BI dashboards and visualizing data
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
