Marketing & Pursuit Intern – Community Infrastructure

Position Overview

Artheon, Inc. is a multidisciplinary engineering and infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that strengthen communities. Our team works on impactful municipal, transportation, environmental, and public infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey and New York.

We are seeking a Marketing & Pursuit Intern to support our Community Infrastructure team in producing high-quality proposals, qualifications packages, and marketing materials that help secure projects shaping the communities we serve.

This internship is ideal for students or emerging designers who want to combine their creative skills with critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced professional environment. You will help translate technical project information into visually compelling proposals while supporting pursuits that directly influence the development of community infrastructure.

This role provides hands-on exposure to the engineering consulting industry, proposal development process, and professional design production.

Responsibilities


  • Maintain and organize marketing templates, project profiles, and digital assets for efficient reuse.
  • Design and format proposals, Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and marketing materials that communicate technical content clearly and effectively.
  • Develop content, graphics, charts, infographics, and visual storytelling elements to enhance proposal content.
  • Review and edit proposal materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and marketing staff to gather, synthesize, and present technical information quickly and clearly.
  • Assist in preparing presentation and interview materials, ensuring professional branding and visual impact.

Qualifications


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field. Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and commitment when working under tight proposal deadlines.
  • Strong graphic design and visual layout skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Interest in engineering, infrastructure, or community development.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolio showcasing layout design, typography, creative problem-solving, and infographics.
  • Understanding of branding, visual hierarchy, and professional presentation standards.
  • Experience with technical graphics, mapping, or proposal design a plus.
