DRMP's Surveying & Mapping/Geomatics Division is HIRING, and we're looking for a Survey Field Technician to join our Gainesville office.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

  • Operate instruments and data collection systems (total stations, levels, and other measuring devices) to acquire data for various types of surveys.
  • Assist or perform processing of field measurements and related data; Limited equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain supplies for crew vehicles.
  • Knowledge of and ability to execute the duties of the rod person (entry-level person) and ability to substitute for and perform the duties of the crew chief when absent.

What you'll need

  • High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school.
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
  • Ability to travel (if needed)
  • Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project.
  • Ability to cut and/or clear brush while establishing survey lines. (machete use)
  • Knowledge of equipment and the ability to set up for various types for different work situations.
  • Ability to hold and proficiently use all measuring devices.
