Naik Consulting Group is looking to hire an experienced Survey Crew Chief in our Edison, New Jersey Office for our Land Surveying Department. We conduct field work all over northern and central NJ, as well as some work in NYC. Generally, work will be assigned to you based on your location, but travel will be necessary at times. This position will typically report to a Project Surveyor or the Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • High Profile Topographic Surveys, Right of Way/boundary and Control Surveys of major roadways, bridges, tunnels, airports, train stations, railroads, and transfer stations in and around the state of NJ and NYC areas
  • GNSS Control Surveys using RTK and Static Systems
  • Topographic Survey with Total Stations, including robotics
  • Level loops with digital and automatic levels
  • 3D Laser Scanning using Leica Laser Scanners
  • Drainage investigation and utility surveys
  • Maintenance of survey vehicle

Qualifications

  • Experience and/or education with Total Stations, Digital or automatic levels, laser scanners, and GNSS systems.
  • Experience and knowledge of Topographic Surveying, boundary, and Right of Way investigation.
  • Education or experience in land surveying preferred (preference given to individuals interested in continuing education, licensure, and/or other certifications, but not required).
  • Exceptional note and record keeping ability.
  • Ability to produce quality field data based on sound judgement.
  • Must be able to carry out direction, work with others, and maintain communication with management and other crew members throughout the day.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle.
