As the CAD Technician, you will be responsible for production of CAD deliverables as well as having knowledge of surveying and mapping principles. A candidate with experience with MicroStation, Openroads, Utility, and Scan Extraction experience is ideal.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

  • Keep up with current technology and changes to the software programs used.
  • Perform calculations for field crews and mapping as needed.
  • Analyze deeds and research materials for the production of the survey.
  • Utilize FDOT or DRMP checklist throughout the performance of each project
  • Extracting linework and features from point clouds utilizing TopoDot software.
  • Willingness to learn.

What you'll need

  • FDOT experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of CADD systems; including MicroStation, Geopak, ORD, Civil 3D, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and working efficiently and accurately are necessary.
