CME Associates is currently recruiting for a Senior Construction Technician to join our team. This individual will be supporting the client and technicians in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. The role involves a blend of technical, administrative, and quality assurance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of construction projects, ensuring they meet specifications, timelines, and budgets with little to no supervision.
  • Applies engineering principles to review plans, calculations, and designs to ensure conformity with standards, codes, and safety regulation
  • Inspect work on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Identify and report issues such as poor workmanship or use of substandard materials with little to no supervision but escalate when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress, materials, and activities.
  • Builds and maintains reports, change orders, and other documentation necessary to run an effective project.
  • Work with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Effectively communicates project progress to senior engineers and project managers.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction activities and ensure they adhere to safety protocols and engineering requirements.
  • Resolves technical challenges, provides input on solutions, and makes recommendations based on engineering analysis with little to no supervision.
  • Escalates to direct supervisor when issues beyond scope or capacity arise.

· Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations on-site, following established procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of civil/construction engineering principles, modern construction methods, and materials.
  • Ability to identify issues early and work toward effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication for clear reporting and interaction with team members and clients.
  • Ability to analyze construction drawings, specifications, and site conditions carefully to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
  • 4-10 years’ experience
Education and Certifications
  • NICET III required
  • Municipal Inspector Certification Preferred
