Responsibilities

  1. Project Design and Development: Prepare designs, technical specifications, and construction drawings for water distribution, wastewater collection systems, and treatment facilities.
  2. Hydraulic Modeling and Analysis: Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling to optimize system performance and capacity.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
  4. Assist municipalities and utilities with meeting NJDEP compliance requirements related to drinking water and wastewater regulations, including permitting, reporting, and infrastructure planning.
  5. Construction Support: Provide engineering support during construction, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, surveyors, and environmental scientists, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  7. Maintain and develop strong client relationships by serving as a point of contact, understanding client goals and ensuring satisfaction throughout projects.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, including design and project management.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD, SewerGEMS).
  4. Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  5. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
