CME Associates is seeking a highly motivated Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or current student pursuing a degree in engineering to gain hands-on experience in the field. The Engineer Intern will work closely with our engineering team, assisting in various projects and tasks to support our clients and contribute to the success of our firm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Engineering Design: Collaborate with senior engineers to assist in the design and development of engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Field Work Support: Participate in field surveys, inspections, and data collection activities to gather essential information for project planning and execution. Assist in analyzing data and generating reports as needed.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to support engineering calculations, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations. Utilize engineering software and tools to perform simulations and modeling under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in project coordination efforts by organizing project documents, tracking project timelines, and communicating with team members and clients to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Proactively engage in learning opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge in various engineering disciplines. Seek mentorship from experienced professionals and actively participate in training programs offered by the company.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or GIS is a plus.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze technical data, perform calculations, and interpret engineering drawings. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and clients.
  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to new challenges
