DRMP is seeking a motivated, team-oriented, Project Manager to join our Civil Engineering Team in our Fort Myers office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience and education in civil engineering, roadway design, infrastructure design, along with strong drive, clear interests, and an engaging personality. Your Primary Responsibilities will include

  • Lead project design efforts and oversee the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage coordination and communication with internal teams, clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors, and other key stakeholders throughout all phases of the project.
  • Oversee the development of accurate designs, technical details, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Direct the preparation and submission of permit applications and submittal packages to local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, and track their progress through approval.
  • Conduct and supervise construction observation activities to verify progress, quality, and compliance with design plans, specifications, and applicable construction and safety standards.
  • Provide leadership in construction administration, including shop drawing reviews, field observations, inspection reports, and other support functions for the Engineer of Record.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, project managers, and business development personnel, to drive project success.
  • Interpret and apply relevant codes, regulatory requirements, and client-specific guidelines to ensure design compliance.
  • Perform quality reviews of technical documents prepared by team members in alignment with DRMP’s Quality Control standards.
  • Lead the development, monitoring, and management of project scopes, schedules, and budgets to meet client expectations and company goals.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history (required).
  • Experience with site civil, land development, infrastructure design, and permitting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Good social, communication, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable, and self-motivated.
