6-Month Project Assignment
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced E&I Technician II to join our team for a 6-month project supporting a chemical manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with industrial electrical equipment, process instrumentation, and automated control systems in a chemical, manufacturing, refinery, or power generation environment.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and calibrate electrical and instrumentation equipment in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Diagnose equipment issues and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and plant utilities.
Install, test, and maintain electrical systems, control circuits, motors, motor control centers (MCCs), lighting systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), instrumentation, and automation equipment.
Calibrate and maintain field instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical devices, and control valves.
Interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, vendor drawings, and technical documentation.
Support troubleshooting of PLC, DCS, and automated control system hardware.
Identify and resolve equipment reliability, safety, and environmental concerns.
Assist with plant startups, shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency response activities as needed.
Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced technicians.
Participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime as required to support plant operations.
Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree, technical degree, or trade school certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
Journeyman Electrician license, Instrumentation certification, or equivalent technical credential preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 6 years of electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience in a chemical, industrial manufacturing, refinery, power generation, or similar industrial environment.
Hands-on experience working with industrial electrical systems up to 480 volts.
Experience troubleshooting instrumentation, automated equipment, process controls, and control valves.
Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, VFD, and motor control systems.
Experience calibrating, testing, and maintaining process instrumentation.
Required Skills

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, primarily day shift.
Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support plant operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician looking to contribute to a fast-paced industrial environment during a six-month project assignment.
