Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Delivery Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the safe loading, transportation, and unloading of building materials at customer job sites. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of handling heavy materials, committed to safety, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and deliver building materials to customer job sites safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded products to ensure order accuracy.
• Assist drivers with locating job sites and navigating delivery routes.
• Safely unload products and place materials in designated areas as directed by customers.
• Secure materials, equipment, pallets, and other cargo during transport.
• Prepare and restore job sites before and after deliveries.
• Prepare trucks and equipment for the following day's deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of trucks and equipment.
• Follow all company, OSHA, DOT, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift and carry 75-100 pounds on a regular basis.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet customer deadlines.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift, carry, and position materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Constantly load and unload materials from flatbed and boom trucks.
• Work outdoors for extended periods while making deliveries.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
