Position Summary
Builds cable and harness assemblies under department guidance using approved tools, drawings, and instructions. Supports quality and on-time delivery by completing assembly work accurately and maintaining clean documentation.
Key Accountabilities
- Build cable and harness assemblies to documented requirements.
- Follow work instructions, drawings, and workmanship expectations.
- Support testing, verification, and rework as assigned.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and report problems promptly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cut, strip, crimp, terminate, solder, label, bundle, or otherwise assemble cable and harness work as assigned.
- Read and follow drawings, wire lists, travelers, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Use hand tools and approved production equipment safely and correctly.
- Inspect own work and support continuity or other verification activities as assigned.
- Report material shortages, documentation issues, or workmanship concerns promptly.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability or willingness to learn cable assembly tools and documentation.
- Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Basic computer skills and ability to follow defined procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior cable or electronics assembly experience.
- Experience with crimping, wire preparation, or soldering.
- Familiarity with continuity testing, labeling, and IPC-620 workmanship standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move between workstations.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or team lift up to 25 lbs.
