General Labor / Scale Operator at a Toledo recycling facility

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Weigh scrap metals using a digital scale and a dial scale.
• Confidently subtract gross weight from the net weight of materials weighed.
• Transport materials to scrap yard.
• Assist customers by verifying the materials being dropped off on site.
• Occasionally utilize a forklift to move heavy boxes on skids.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, productive work environment through proactive communication.

Requirements

• Must be forklift certified.
• Proficient in addition/subtraction.
• Ability to read a digital scale and dial scale.
• Knowledge of the various grade on non-ferrous metals (copper, brass, aluminum) preferred.
• Longevity at previous roles (3+ years) is preferred.
