Weigh scrap metals using a digital scale and a dial scale.
Confidently subtract gross weight from the net weight of materials weighed.
Transport materials to scrap yard.
Assist customers by verifying the materials being dropped off on site.
Occasionally utilize a forklift to move heavy boxes on skids.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures at all times.
Contribute to maintaining a safe, productive work environment through proactive communication.

Requirements

Must be forklift certified.
Proficient in addition/subtraction.
Ability to read a digital scale and dial scale.
Knowledge of the various grade on non-ferrous metals (copper, brass, aluminum) preferred.
Longevity at previous roles (3+ years) is preferred.
