Supplemental Staffing is working with a company in Waterville, OH who is looking to fill a Plastic Extrusion Machine Operating position.
Hiring for all shifts:
1st shift - Monday - Friday 6:45A-3:15P
2nd shift - Monday - Friday 2:45P-11:15P
3rd shift - Monday - Friday 10:45P-7:15A
Pay: $18.00-19.00/hr
**MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A RULER TEST**
Summary
As an Extrusion Operator, you will be integral to the manufacturing process, focusing on plastics extrusion and ensuring product quality through precise measurements with calipers and other tools. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your role involves operating machinery and utilizing your mechanical knowledge to maintain efficient production lines. With core skills in manufacturing and hand tools, along with premium expertise in quality inspection, you will contribute to the overall success of our production team. Join us to play a vital role in delivering high-quality plastic products in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Manually operate Extrusion Machine and place plastic pellets into hopper
- Visually inspect and measure plastic strips as they come out the other end of machine.
- Set dye depending on color needed for plastic
- Prepare orders for shipment - general labor involving building crates for shipment, utilizing hand and power tools
- Cleaning off tubing as well as blowing off excess material.
- Will be required to record quantities every 30 mins
- May be operating 2 machines at once so must be okay with working at a steady pace.
Will be using calipers and using a tape measure up to 1/16th of an inch.
Background requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of Machine operator experience.
- Must be able to pass a ruler test and measure up to 1/16th of an inch.
- Background check with no felonies and a clear 5-panel drug screen.
