Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Heavy Lifter for a glass manufacturer in the Holland area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling heavy materials and assisting in various production tasks. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to read a measuring tape.
Responsibilities
- Safely lift, carry, and move heavy doors throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Reading measuring tapes to the 1/16th.
- Assist in assembly line operations by fabricating components and assembling products using hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively in an assembly or fabrication context is advantageous.
- Ability to read a ruler.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy loads regularly.
