We are looking for a skilled and reliable welder/fabricator who can contribute to the success of this project and potentially join our client's team for future work. If you meet the qualifications and are interested in a long-term opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
Current Project Location: Sandusky, OH (Various project sites within a 20-minutes to 2-hour radius)
Travel Required: Yes (Mileage bonus available)
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- 3rd Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday to Thursday
- Hourly Rate: ~$20 to $25/hr
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and Stick welding in outdoor environments.
- Fabricate metal components using a variety of tools, including MIG welders, plasma cutters, and grinders
- Operate manlifts and scissor lifts safely (preferred experience)
- Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures at all times
- Utilize welding helmets, gloves, and other required PPE
- Complete assigned projects within the required timelines
Qualifications
- Education: Welding certification OR proven experience in the field (no specific number of years required)
- Experience:
- MIG and Stick welding
- Metal fabrication (including torch, plasma cutting, and grinding)
- Preferred Experience:
- Safety training (OSHA or similar certifications)
- Experience with manlifts or scissor lifts
- Required Skills:
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Project Details:
- Duration: 4-6 weeks
- Location: Sandusky, OH
- Travel: Projects generally located 20-45 minutes away (up to 1.5 to 2 hours away in some cases)
