Working in the FCA Transport (FCAT) division of Stellantis, the Metal Repairer performs body repairs to trucks and trailers in the FCAT vehicle fleet.
The Auto Body and Collision Technician (Metal Repairer – Hourly) will complete repairs and/or replacement of frames and structural components; mechanical, interior and electrical components; plastic and composite panels; and sheet metal panels. He/she will assess body damage and develop repair plans. Repair work may range from correcting minor structural damage and cosmetic scratches and dents to fixing extensive structural damage. Some parts may need to be removed for access or during repairs. Vehicle parts that are damaged beyond repair are replaced. The alignment and replacement of suspension and steering components may also be performed.
