We are looking for a Software Developer III to be part of our Project Technology team. This position with intermediate experience lets you create technical solutions, try new technologies, and learn new skills in a dynamic setting mainly working on integrations with our desktop engineering & architecture applications. You will also participate in our digital transformation/AI journey where data is key and agile and lean planning is becoming common practice. You will collaborate with key stakeholders & Sr. Developers to find business needs and opportunities for new efficiencies, applications, and data integration.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design:
    • Design and build custom software solutions tailored to the specific needs of end users and clients, ensuring high quality and performance.
    • Leads or participates in discovery meetings with end-users to determine and document requirements.
    • Estimates effort to build software solutions.
  • Database and Interface Design:
    • Creates and assesses database and interface designs per SSOE standard schema and meet technology security and performance goals.
    • Creates and evaluates database designs and user interfaces, ensuring they are efficient, user-friendly, and aligned with project goals.
  • API and Hosting Designs:
    • Design robust APIs and hosting environments, ensuring they meet the functional and non-functional requirements of projects.
  • Technology Assessment and Recommendations:
    • Evaluate how other teams utilize technologies and provide insightful recommendations to enhance performance and efficiency.
    • the impact of server and network architecture on project implementation, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
    • Solutions have secure software test plans, leads remediation, and meets internal team standard compliances.
  • Individual vs Teamwork:
    • Performs and/or assists with training and follow-up activities to application stakeholders.
    • Supports or trains others to support ongoing maintenance, feature requests, and updates.
    • Creating and maintaining HOW-TO documentation as it relates to custom applications
    • Collaborates on project plans and scope for new work.
    • Can work independently or co-develop in teams to address business objectives & outcomes on time, schedule, budget.
    • Researches and analyzes potential new technologies.
  • Career Development:
    • Contributes to project showcase sessions for team growth and accomplishments.
    • Participates in industry conferences or technical user groups as a speaker and submits abstracts.
    • Participates in self-paces, team and or organizational trainings and upskilling in technical and professional development areas.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience with software development
  • Proficiency in 3 or more of our SSOE standard developer technology stack.
  • General: MS SQL, .NET, Git/Azure DevOps, C#, Entity Framework, python.
  • Web: ASP .NET, MVC, IIS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, SASS, jQuery.
  • Desktop: WPF, PowerShell.
  • Preferred:
    • Exposure and Experience with APIs in: Microsoft O365/Azure/Power Platform, Autodesk Desktop Applications, BIM360/ACC, Autodesk Platform Services, Deltek, and/or UKG systems a plus.
  • Execute and lead communication in our digital platforms: ex. MS DevOps, MS Teams, etc.
  • Determined person who will achieve individual/team outcomes.
  • Salary Range: $100,000-$115,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
