Summary/Objective

Supports the Vice President of Human Resources in all aspects of managing the daily duties including designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining human resources programs, policies, and procedures. Maintaining good communication and a positive relationship with all employees while exhibiting gold standard service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for overseeing semi-monthly payroll processing including review of timecards for accuracy, review of data entry of payroll information into payroll system, review of payroll related spreadsheets and distribution of payroll reports to the accounting department. Acts as back up for payroll entries in the absence of the HR Administrative Assistant.
  2. Ensures proper maintenance of the HCM system, including monitoring and approving ESS (employee self-service) entries.
  3. Assists in designing, implementing, and administering of policies and programs, including but not limited to training and leadership development and employee engagement; responds to inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and other HR related items.
  4. Advises managers regarding appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  5. Assists Vice President of Human Resources in their responsibility for adherence to employment law, in addition to ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, FLSA and other applicable areas of employment law.
  6. Assists in talent acquisition and onboarding processes by coordinating recruiting processes for department managers. Supports department managers with proper interviewing techniques. Participates in interviewing process.
  7. Administers and tracks Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) for all employees, including ensuring proper documentation and leave calculations.
  1. Assists with annual benefit open enrollment process, non-discrimination testing, affirmative action plan, annual EEO-1 reporting, and various internal and external audits.
