The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of employee records to ensure accuracy in employee pay and HRIS records, in addition to other HR administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with system administration, building reports, and performing data audits independently.
Where You'll Work
The Human Resources Coordinator is a hourly non-exempt position and will work full time from our Toledo, Ohio office.
What You'll Do
  • Lead process for timesheet review for all non-exempt staff.
  • Process routine changes to employee records such as job title, compensation, tax settings, or contact information.
  • Approve changes submitted by employees through self-service workflows.
  • Process all new hires and terminations with accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding processes as needed.
  • Train other employees on system usage as needed.
  • Coordinate with Compensation & Benefits Administrator to ensure any corrections to employee earnings or deductions are handled appropriately.
  • Work closely with Compensation & Benefits Administrator to ensure payroll processing is free from errors and timely.
  • Assign PTO accrual amounts and ensure that PTO usage aligns with firm policies.
  • Develop processes for calendaring one-time payments (e.g. referral incentives or sign-on bonuses).
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum high school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field of study (e.g. human resources, business administration).
  • At least 2 years of experience with system administration, building reports, and performing data audits independently.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly with a self-starter approach.
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to innovate and leverage our HRIS to implement process improvements with a focus on the employee experience.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel to create efficiencies for assigned tasks and other improvement opportunities.
  • Experience working in a paperless environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience prioritizing tasks independently and recognizing when something is time sensitive.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and exemplify a high level of patience.
  • Displays a high level of professionalism in both conduct and appearance.
  • Excellent “people” skills and ability to identify solutions when faced with a problem.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and file security.
