We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Coordinator to join our growing team. This position will interact significantly with the engineering team, project management, field superintendents, and owners when appropriate. The Electrical BIM Coordinator will coordinate with the project team to develop and manage BIM models for electrical systems, helping to streamline project workflows. The first assignment for this person will be working on a complex electrical construction project in Bowling Green, Ohio.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and manage Building Information Models (BIM) for electrical systems on Mission Critical Projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient model creation and maintenance. This includes:
-Installation drawings
-Modeling
-Coordination
-Redlines
-Sign-Offs
• Creates and maintains Installation drawing logs
• Identify red flags in schedule that could impact deliverables. Including:
-Sign Offs after installations are due
-Signed off models that still have clashes
-Sign Offs after construction
-RFI’s that affect BIM that are not addressed
• Sets up project and keep it maintained through the life cycle of project
• Perform clash detection and resolution using BIM software.
• Attend clash detection meetings. Also attends internal project meetings as required by project team.
• Create and manage BIM execution plans and standards.
• Create 3D model based off red lines
• Develops 2D installation drawings and detail drawings from 3D model or sketches
• Train and support team members on BIM processes and software.


SKILLS

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
• Skilled with associated software: ACC DMS (document management system), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), BlueBeam, SharePoint, Revit Server.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes. This includes:
- Equipment Clearances
- Utilization of the NEC to ensure standards are met through modeling
- Review and adhere to project specifications
- The experience to make recommendations on best practices and constructability- Requires minimal QA/QC for any work being submitted
• Can help train others on 3D Modeling and 2D drafting based off standards and best practices
• Helps maintain and develop BIM standards
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with BIM coordination in the electrical construction industry.
• Past experience on Mission Critical Projects, preferred.
