Position Summary:
As the Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee all accounting functions related to property management operations. Your leadership will ensure accurate financial reporting, timely transaction processing, and a motivated accounting team dedicated to supporting our company’s financial health and growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate daily workflow and delegate tasks to ensure deadlines are consistently met with precision.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present insightful financial reports and analyses to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct variance analysis, budget monitoring, forecasting, and complex account reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable and payable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate financial data and improve accounting processes.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Maintain and update property financial information on AppFolio property pages.
  • Take on additional duties as needed to support the team and company goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or a related industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with accounting software and hands-on accounts payable and receivable processing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
