Position Summary: As the Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee all accounting functions related to property management operations. Your leadership will ensure accurate financial reporting, timely transaction processing, and a motivated accounting team dedicated to supporting our company’s financial health and growth. What You’ll Do: - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate daily workflow and delegate tasks to ensure deadlines are consistently met with precision.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present insightful financial reports and analyses to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis, budget monitoring, forecasting, and complex account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable and payable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate financial data and improve accounting processes.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Maintain and update property financial information on AppFolio property pages.
- Take on additional duties as needed to support the team and company goals.
What We’re Looking For: - Associate’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or a related industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with accounting software and hands-on accounts payable and receivable processing.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
