The Enterprise Communications Leader executes communication strategies for key priorities and initiatives across the enterprise to engage employees, communicate goals and milestones, and enhance leader connection, impact, and reputation. This position plays a key role in informing, inspiring and engaging global employees through strategic content planning, development, and execution.
Develop and implement communication strategies to achieve defined objectives for enterprise-wide company initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and execute communication strategies for large-scale, enterprise-wide company initiatives with global reach.
- Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to effectively articulate key growth strategies and initiative goals, and ensure that employees understand how they connect and contribute – both individually and as a team – to the growth and success of the company.
- Collaborate with regional and functional communications colleagues to effectively deliver integrated and unified communications messaging across the global enterprise.
- Align strategies, tactics, and messages with the business and corporate communications teams, as well as the over-arching Corporate Affairs and enterprise strategies. Coordinate communication plan execution by tracking timelines, deliverables, and budget.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of communications campaigns, adjusting strategy and tactics accordingly.
Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy to inform, inspire and engage employee stakeholders. Serve as a champion for the Owens Corning digital communications platform, OC Now.
- Lead impactful enterprise storytelling through the development of a content strategy that balances proactive and reactive content, and is impactful for global colleagues working in a variety of settings.
- Oversee content planning and development for OC Now. Create initiatives and campaigns that drive employee engagement and education through the platform.
- Initiate an editorial content planning process to source a wide variety of content that represents the enterprise and aligns to the company’s strategy, for use in internal and external communication.
- Coach team members in content development for highest impact.
Support executive communications strategy including the execution of key leadership messaging and initiatives. Provide communications counsel and expertise to leadership, enhancing Owens Corning leader reputation among stakeholders.
- Play a key role in supporting executive communications strategies, including the development of content and execution of initiatives including town halls.
- Provide communications counsel and expertise to business leaders, enhancing Owens Corning leader reputations among employees.
- Support organizational change management including communications strategy development and execution.
- Provide coaching on communications strategy, presentation development, delivery skills and written communications to business senior leaders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a communications role.
- 5+ years of project management experience leading initiatives with wide reach and influence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to understand business results, goals and challenges and communicate effectively to various audiences and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated aptitude to build strategic and execution-focused plans, delivering strong project execution and a commitment to deadlines for high-priority communication initiatives while building and cultivating cross-business and cross-functional alliances with global partners.
- Demonstrated ability to write and produce content for multiple audiences and stakeholders in a variety of mediums.
- Experience in working for a multinational – ideally global – company; experience with a manufacturing company is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute content strategy to drive strategic priorities through storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability in creating and executing communication strategy based on the priorities of the company with a proven record of achieving organizational objectives.
- Demonstrated aptitude to prioritize and effectively manage multiple initiatives, multiple constituencies, and diverse personalities under strict deadlines. A sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated aptitude to collaborate and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization – from the shop floor to senior company leaders – and across geography and culturally-diverse regions.
- Demonstrated ability to bring rigorous business orientation and process discipline to the communication function – must present ideas and challenge status quo in an agile, insights-driven, fact-based manner.
