PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Owens Corning is committed to driving increased customer value and business operational efficiencies through the digital management of our product information (PIM) to ensure data accuracy and consistency across various data endpoints.

As a key component, Owens Corning is seeking a PIM Business Analyst to drive the strategic management and optimization of our Product Information Management (PIM) system for our NA Insulation Businesses.

This role will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, implementing system enhancements, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of product data across digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, business acumen, and experience in data management and system administration.

Reports to: Digital Product Manager (PIM/DAM/PDM/BIM)

Span of Control: No direct reports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

PORDUCT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for the PIM system.
  • Analyze and assess existing PIM processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Work closely with IT and vendor partners to implement system enhancements and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides, process maps, and training materials.
  • Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure effective utilization of the PIM system.
  • Monitor data quality and integrity within the PIM system, implementing controls and processes to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on PIM-related initiatives and provide guidance to business users on best practices and data governance principles with support of the Data Governance Lead.

COLLABORATE AND FOSTER TEAMWORK:

  • Collaborate cross functionally within a matrix organization between IT, business, and digital teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in the field of product information management or digital commerce.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience in SQL queries and data manipulation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with PIM systems or similar data management platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and digital marketing concepts is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
