Essential Functions:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Teaching in a hands-on computer classroom and in the web-based environment. Teaching Information Systems courses (introductory through advanced) in one or more the following areas: Computer Applications, Programming, Network Administration, e-Business, Database, Operating Systems or Information Assurance.
Be current in the Information Systems/Information Technology field.
Experience in Information Systems/Information Technology above entry level required.
Possess expertise in one or more of the following: VB, C#, HTML, XML, Java, Javascript, Perl/CGI scripting, SQL, Active Server Pages, Networking, Information Assurance, Project Management, Oracle.
Possess teaching experience in higher education, preferably in a two-year degree granting institution.
Participate in the development of new courses and programs in the Information Systems curriculum.
Have the ability to communicate effectively and to interface with business and professional constituents.
Have an interest in developing and teaching online courses.
Serve as a role model for students preparing to enter the highly competitive professional world.

Participate in professional development (discipline specific and teaching).
Serve on committees and project teams within the department, the school and at the college level in pursuing the institution’s strategic planning priorities.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Master's degree
Equivalent of two (2) semester’s teaching or training experience.
Part-time teaching that equates to the two (2) semesters may be considered.
Possess teaching experience in higher education, preferably in a regionally accredited two-year granting institution.
