This position works as a grounds person for six months (2 quarters) out of the year (during warm season), performing maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, spraying for weed control and snow removal.
This position works as a custodian for six months (2 quarters) out of the year (during winter season), performing custodial tasks such as cleaning which includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, bathroom cleaning, and event setup and teardown and snow removals needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

For Grounds: Knowledge of use of equipment such as mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles and tools associated with a grounds position. For Custodial: Knowledge of use of equipment such as different types of mops, cleaning tool and chemicals, vacuum cleaners and other.

For Grounds: Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and extremes. Must work well with others, follow instructions, read and comprehend work orders.
For Custodial: Must be willing to work at various stress levels where and around large groups of people at times. Must work well with others, follow instructions, read and comprehend work orders.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
1 year experience in Grounds Maintenance 1 year experience in Custodial Maintenance.
