Administrative Assistant, Workforce and Community Services

Job Description:

Provides confidential administrative support and assistance to the Dean and Directors within Workforce and Community Services.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides confidential administrative support and assistance to the Dean and Directors

    within Workforce and Community Services.

  • Maintains schedules for department meetings and conferences according to established guidelines with prospective students, advisory committees, students, vendors, and staff.

  • Manages communications and exchange of information as appropriate and taking messages for the Office of Workforce and Community Services.

  • Manages and creates correspondence, forms, monthly reports, etc.

  • Maintains files and records as needed for Workforce and Community services. Coordinates department travel

  • Prepares board reports for department for Board of Directors' meetings. Provides fill-in assistance within department when necessary.

  • Office machine Operation, Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Organizational skills, Minute-taking ability, Office Management

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

  • 2 -3 years of secretarial experience 1 year of computer experience
