Advertised Position Title:
Director, IT Support Services
Essential Functions:
- Manage the life cycle of all College owned endpoints (including hardware and software).
- Facilitate all endpoint technology related purchases both software and hardware across campus, all locations.
- Supervise System Operations, Desktop Specialists, Switchboard staff, Mobile/Email support, and Client Services.
- Create and maintain guidelines, operating standards and procedures related to IT daily operations.
- Advises the CIO in the areas of information technology, budget, planning and development.
- Participate in various College committees.
- Serve as a liaison for the College's hardware and software vendors, regulatory agencies and other external bodies relating to endpoints at the College.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with an information technology (IT) environment in higher education.
- Maintains a working knowledge of such technologies, especially since IT is a continually changing field.
- Understands the management principles involved in a consensus building and supervision of staff.
- Good leadership and decision-making skills. Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
- Good trouble-shooting skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work the campus community.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Ability to coordinate the scheduling of staff to implement projects and the ongoing service and support for all campus locations.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor 's degree related to computer science, information technology, business management, or project management. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in management in a technical environment. Some management experience in higher education preferred.
- Bachelor's degree related to computer science, information technology, business management, or project management. Master's degree preferred.
- State mandated certificate (Criminal Justice Information System Security & Awareness Training) must be obtained within 30 days after hire date or already achieved.
