FWS - Gallery Monitor at Center for Fine and Performing Arts (Federal Work-Study Student Employee)

Job Description Summary:
Gallery Monitors will monitor the gallery during open hours and appointments, greet visitors and artists, represent the gallery at receptions and events. Monitors will also assist with the installation and reset of art exhibits, maintain a mailing list, record guest attendance, help with advertising, social media, and outreach.

- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good time management skills and understanding of deadlines
- Must demonstrate proven ability to display creativity, initiative, good judgment, and ability to make decisions independently
- Able to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
- Work well with other student employees, staff, and various classes
- Working with artwork in a professional manner
- Light carpentry skills
- Basic art gallery maintenance and cleaning
- Networking with artists
- Experience with maintaining social media platforms
- Ability to think outside the box with a creative imagination
Essential Functions:

- Installing artwork
Other Characteristics:
Has the ability to lift 20-30lbs for gallery equipment or artwork.
