The Sound Engineer is responsible for capturing and editing digital audio for programming, promotions, public relations, public service announcements, and streaming services. Also responsible for set-up and storage of microphones and digital recorder(s) for OOSMC. Maintain, update, and backup digital storage cards.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Understanding of mixing consoles, basic digital recording techniques and digital recorder operations.
Written and verbal communications.
Computer skills.
Willingness to learn new programs.
Proven ability to display initiative, good judgment, and make decisions independently.

Able to manage several projects at once
Essential Functions:
Assist with setup, operation, and tear down of audio consoles and digital recorders for the OOSMC schedule program shoots.
Assist in preparation of media cards, WAV/mp3, mr4, mov files, and CDs, and conduct some trainings and meetings to help other OOSMC staff.
Assist in training OOSMC staff in implementation of OOSMC policies and procedures.
Attend meetings as needed.
Actively assist in OOSMC integrated media projects.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Experience with audio consoles and digital recorders.
Experience with radio and audio production.
Music Business/Recording Arts or Broadcast Media
