Job Description:
** This position is open exclusively to current Students at Owens Community College who are eligible for Federal Work-Study.

Provides support for the YMCA Wellness Center and the members who use the Wellness Center.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
-Wellness trends
-Exercise equipment safety
-Customer Service
Essential Functions:
-Coach members in support of their desired behavior change
-Regularly check on members' program in meeting personal and program goals
-Answer questions from members
-Build effective, authentic relationships with members
-Help members connect with each other and the YMCA
-Introduce new members to group exercise communities
-Utilize tools/information to increase member knowledge of wellness (ex. handouts, schedules)
-Maintain and clean equipment
-Be visible on the Wellness Floor at least 85% of each shift
-Follow YMCA policies and procedures
-Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education/Experience
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Ability to pass a background check
