Job Description

The Corporate Affairs Specialist will support the O‑I Glass Corporate Affairs team, primarily across government relations, communications, and digital platform management. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail‑oriented professional with excellent communication skills who thrives in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment and is comfortable managing multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders. The Specialist will play a critical enabling role—helping translate strategy into action through coordination, documentation, content development, reporting, and execution across internal and external channels.

Assertive, collaborative, and creative, this individual will be confident problem-solving independently and working as part of a lean team, in a role that will require willingness to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders from various cultures and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

Overarching

  • Provide day‑to‑day support to Corporate Affairs workstreams, including documentation and reporting; materials and content drafting, editing, and reviews; vendor coordination; tracking, documentation reporting on program metrics to support data‑driven decision‑making; and ad hoc support for senior leaders.

Government Relations & Public Policy Support

  • Develop and maintain one‑pagers, issue briefs, policy position materials, and internal communications to drive alignment and action
  • Support internal stakeholder coordination on policy‑related topics, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely execution
  • Coordinate engagement with trade associations and third‑party partners
  • Produce meeting summaries, action items, and follow‑ups
  • Maintain internal calendars for trade association activity and meetings
  • Maintain clear documentation of government relations strategies, plans, and activities
  • Otherwise support global and regional government relations initiatives

Communications & Content Support

  • Write, edit, and review messaging, talking points, statements and content for internal and external stakeholders and channels
  • Maintain editorial and content calendars
  • Manage internal video shoots and production logistics
  • Conduct social monitoring to identify and escalate potential reputational risks
  • Execute content audits as assigned to ensure content remains fresh, relevant, and aligned with SEO/AEO standards

Websites, Digital Platforms & Channel Management

  • Support internal digital platform management
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally on internal platform and workflow streamlining initiatives, and provide support for website updates and refreshes (including vendor engagement)

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, Journalism, Communication or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in corporate affairs, communications, government relations, or a related discipline
  • Fluent in English / ability to also speak Spanish preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills. Ability to work on-deadline, and knowledge of AP style preferred
  • Experience tracking and reporting program metrics
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally in a global, matrixed organization
  • Experience in crisis communications or crisis management preferred
  • Experience working in manufacturing preferred
  • Experience working and understanding the rules of a political action committee preferred.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to operate with discretion

Additional Information

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position will be between $75,000 - $90,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
