Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Assists and works under the direction of the Associate Dean of Student Services to recruit, analyze, plan, and implement the operations and administrative requirements for the Office of Admissions. The Admissions Officer has direct contact with prospective students through the admission and application process, providing insight and support at each step of the process and ultimately facilitate the onboarding of newly admitted students.
Essential Job Functions
Represent and articulate the mission and values of the Education Institutions to prospective students while maintaining superior customer service.
Effectively communicate information about academic programs, both on- and off-campus, to prospective students, parents, Hospitals, facilities and other individuals or organizations.
Employ excellent interpersonal communication skills, persuasive and negotiation skills, strong professional writing, public speaking/presentation skills and have the ability to successfully cultivate collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, and professional colleagues.
Have the demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
Respond to all new inquiries in a timely manner and maintain consistent communication with all students throughout the admission process.
Conduct telephone, email, and text-based interactions to qualify prospective students on their educational goals and interests, explaining available academic tracks, advising them on admission requirements, and ensuring that all admission paperwork is completed properly.
Plan and implement enrollment activities for prospective students including new student orientation.
Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the Education Institutions.
Collaborate with the Registrar to review transcripts and process applications.
Make recommendations concerning admissions, while appropriately adhering to all policies and procedures.
Produce accurate applicant and inquiry reports, including forecasts, on a regular basis.
Organize, train, and supervise student staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Licensing/Certification

Education
Bachelor degree (required)
Graduate degree (preferred)
Work Experience
Two year recent experience in student recruitment or a combination of student and employee recruitment (required)
Familiarity with the admissions process to include recruitment, interviewing and evaluation transfer credit (required)
Experience in a health-related education program (preferred)

Understand and interpret federal, state, and local regulations related to recruiting.
Understand and interpret policies and procedures.
Analyze data and information, including, but not limited to, transcripts.
Provide oversight of student recruiting.
