Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Service Line Coordinator advises, supports, assists, coordinates, collaborates on initiatives and plays a key role in furthering the broad agenda within the assigned Service Lines. Manages short-term and long-term priorities and represents the interests of the Service Lines through effective communication, coordination, and integration of objectives. Exercises a high degree of initiative and independent judgment, coordinates initiatives and plans strategies, applies practical solutions, and oversees multiple projects to ensure quality patient care and excellent customer service.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate the work of others; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; monitor quality control standards; identify problems and recommend solutions and correct errors; communicate effectively verbally and in written form.

  • Under the direction of the Service Line Director, monitors department quality assurance; exercising initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making. Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with clinical and clerical staff, physicians, administrative staff and patients.

  • Coordinates/Supports the needs of the Hospitalists/Intensivists and the respective service line leaders.

  • Key contact for telephone system operational correspondence for the Service Line. Manages day to day staffing and issue resolution. Main point of contact for provider scheduling updates, changes and implementations.

  • Responsible for building, updating, and maintaining provider schedules, including interacting with Locum companies to coordinate confirmed shifts.

  • Kronos-daily responsibility for Kronos/time management for campus with updates and maintenance of work schedules in coordination with campus management.

  • May assist in the onboarding and orientation of new providers.

  • Designated ODH EDRS Clerk for EDRS Providers.

  • Performs other department-specific duties and other assignments as appropriate.

Required Minimum Education: 4 year/ Bachelors Degree

Preferred Education: 4 year/ Bachelors Degree

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Years and Type of Experience: Minimum 3 Years of Experience. Excellent project management and leadership skills with the ability to organize and communicate with diverse individuals and groups. Self-directed, critical analysis, and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Proficient in software (Adobe DC, Microsoft Office, etc.) with ability to learn and implement new products as needed
