SUMMARY:

This is a temporary academic position in which the adjunct faculty member is responsible for instruction and evaluation of students in the discipline of radiologic technology. Coordinates all aspects and activities of the Radiologic Technology laboratory. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the lab environment; maintaining the inventory of supplies and equipment; working with students in positioning skills practice, demonstration, simulation, and remediation; support the development and maintenance of simulation experiences, laboratory activities, and experiments in the Radiologic Technology laboratory; and supervise students in the lab and clinical setting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Educate and evaluate students as they demonstrate Radiologic Technology skills and participate in simulation experiences, supervised practice, and skills remediation.
  • Supervise students to ensure that the lab experiences meet course and program outcomes.
  • Facilitates a learning and caring environment, which encourages critical thinking, investigation, self-direction, and respect for the uniqueness of each individual.
  • Evaluates student progress and maintains appropriate records.
  • Remains current with trends, issues, and practices in the discipline, as well as maintains current radiologic technology certification.
  • Coordinate the Radiologic Technology lab to include lab usage; ordering, monitoring, and maintaining equipment and supplies within the established budget; make recommendations regarding major purchases

Work Experience:

Minimum Years and Type of Experience Required:

Have a minimum total of two years of experience in Radiologic Technology. R.T.(R)(ARRT) and ODH License.

Minimum Years and Type of Experience Preferred:

Have a minimum total of five years of experience. Knowledge of equipment, technology used in Radiologic Technology; ability to teach, coach, inspire, and evaluate students; skillful in interpersonal and written communication. Additional ARRT Certifications.
