Summary:

Responsible for providing nursing care to the cardiovascular patient during the invasive procedure. Coordinates; implements and evaluates patient care in the CVCL to promote safe, efficient, cost effective and therapeutic patient care. Communicate patient needs and response to the invasive treatment facilitating quality patient care at all times. Assists in the provision of care to adult and geriatric patients.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Experience: 1 year current Cardiovascular Lab experience.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill in Cardiovascular Lab theory and practice.
  • Demonstrates good leadership and communication skills, flexibility and creativity.
  • Demonstrates a philosophy of continuous quality improvement, team development, and commitment to clinical excellence.
  • Maintains and develops knowledge and personal growth by attending workshops/in-services to maintain licensure and/or certifications.

Registration, Certification or Licensure Requirement:

  • Current Ohio RN License, Basic Life Support; Advanced Life Support. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialty Certification preferred.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • May be asked to assume the role of charge to facilitate patient throughput, staff breaks, and any other daily operational needs of the department under the supervision of the CVCL supervisor.

Hours:

  • Shift: Days

  • Weekend, holiday and on-call rotation required per department policy
