OVERVIEW
Join our team as a Purchasing Coordinator!
This is an in office role based out of our Maumee, OH office. The position is hourly and includes eligibility for overtime pay.
This position assists the Purchasing Agent in all areas of purchasing, receiving, shipping, inventory, and quality control of all product check-ins. This position also assists with project management purchasing and occasional facilities and accounting group projects as appropriate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up new vendors and service providers.
Assist managers with purchase requisitions.
Contact Vendors for material/equipment quotes/lead times.
Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies.
Create and send purchase orders to vendors/service providers.
Send contract agreements to subcontractors/subconsultants. This includes lien waivers as specified by the Client/Matrix agreement.
Ship outboard items.
Receive incoming items.
Follow up on order lead time and delays.
Reconcile purchasing credit card charges.
Close purchase orders when fully received and paid.
QUALIFICATIONS
One to three years + of direct purchasing experience preferred.
Associate Degree in Business or related field preferred.
Experience working in an engineering or professional consulting environment is preferred.
Proficiency with common office equipment and Microsoft Office software required.
Quick learner with custom software.
Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
Established and maintains good communication and positive working relationships throughout Matrix.
Works proactively with others to prevent problems, resolve issues and encourage cooperation toward achieving department and organization goals.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
While performing the duties of this job, long periods of sitting at a computer are required.
The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.

We offer market-competitive compensation for a Purchasing Coordinator with a base range of $45,800 to $59,700 hourly, and a total compensation package that includes quarterly bonuses, 401(k) matching, and overtime pay. Salaries are based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
